A gourd is a small portable container intended to transport water or any other drink. It is strong and reusable. The first gourd was used in 1877 by an Italian from the small town of Bergamo. Its inventor Julio Milesio, was an outstanding doctor.

The gourd helps conserve water, a vital element for human survival. She is an image of life, of survival. In the context of films or cartoons, it allows you to place suspense in a scene.

Any water bottle will fit

multiple situations, including the car (it fits in the cup holder) or the gym (you can add a sport cap or a silicone bumper sleeve). It allows filling from a water fountain, with a smoothie, a fresh juice or a soda, prepared at home, or by a waiter behind the counter of a café.

Gourds are part of our lives. They have been added to what we carry every day, in the same way as the bunch of keys, the laptop and the wallet. Water bottles haven't always been such complicated objects, although we can easily be lulled into nostalgia for simplicity, we think the ubiquity of these reusable bottles isn't such a bad thing.

Generally made of plastic or metal, more rarely of skin or glass, a water bottle has a carrying capacity generally between 0.5 and 2 litres. Several opening systems exist. We can see gourds whose neck is equipped with a security, others with a simple screw cap. To prevent the risk of cap loss.
